According to preliminary official data, nearly 47 lakh farmers in Telangana have taken farm loans, with the majority having loans under Rs 1 lakh. Despite this significant financial requirement, the government is committed to providing immediate relief to farmers by waiving crop loans. This initiative aims to reduce the debt burden on farmers, enabling them to reinvest their profits in economic activities and foster growth. The process of loan waiver has already commenced, with a commitment to complete the forgiveness of crop loans by the August 15 deadline.
