The main objective of this scheme is to form 1 lakh Joint Liability Earning and Saving Group (JLESG) and 10 lakh Women are to be made self-reliant by encouraging economic activities through these groups.

• Under this scheme, if every group pays a regular weekly salary, it will get Rs. The government has made an arrangement to pay interest above Rs 1 lakh.
• Under the scheme, 50,000 JLESGs in rural areas and 50,000 JLESGs in urban areas will be covered. Avis. In which the interest amount will be paid to the financial institutions by the Government on behalf of the women group.
• For the successful implementation of this scheme, nationalized banks, rural banks, co-operative banks, private Banks, co-operative societies and RBI. Other recognized financial institutions – MFIs will also be promoted by the Government. (*Subject to change)

Under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana (MMUY), 50,000 Joint Liability and Earning Groups (JLEGs) will be established in both urban and rural areas. Each JLEG will consist of 10 women members, and these groups will receive interest-free loans funded by the state government, which will cover the interest costs entirely. Additionally, the government has decided to waive the stamp duty fees for these loans to reduce financial barriers. Approximately 2.75 lakh Sakhi mandals operating in both rural and urban regions will be eligible to benefit from this scheme, provided they have cleared any outstanding loans. Through these mandals, about 27 lakh women across the state are expected to receive support.
