06th May Update:- National Lok Adalat in Delhi on May 11

On May 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., individuals with outstanding traffic challans or tickets in Delhi will have the opportunity to resolve them during the National Lok Adalat, held at all court complexes across the city. The Delhi Traffic Police (DTP) has encouraged residents to use this chance to clear any outstanding, compoundable traffic citations or notices.

Starting May 7 at 10 a.m., a link will be available for downloading and printing the traffic challans and notices, with access open until the designated limit is reached. Currently, the website is temporarily unavailable.

For the Lok Adalat proceedings, only compoundable traffic challans and notices recorded on the Delhi Traffic Police portal by January 31 will be eligible. Notices that are non-compoundable, already paid, disposed of, or transferred to regular, evening, or digital courts will not be included.

The Lok Adalat has set up 180 benches, each limited to processing 1,000 challans or notices, totaling 1,80,000 that will be addressed on May 11. Each vehicle owner may address up to seven notices or challans (5 notices and 2 challans) per personal vehicle, and up to two per commercial vehicle in this session.

Important points to remember:

• Ensure you bring printed copies of your notices and challans, as printout services will not be available at the court complexes.
