The Assam state government is set to launch the Assam Gunotsav 2025, an initiative aimed at assessing the quality of schools across the state and ensuring effective school management. The evaluation will be conducted to gain a comprehensive understanding of both school performance and student progress. Starting in January 2025, the Gunotsav will take place across all 35 districts of Assam. The evaluation will be carried out from 7th January 2025 to 7th February 2025, covering eligible schools throughout the state. About Gunotsav 2025

The Assam Gunotsav initiative was launched by the state government in 2017, with the goal of evaluating the quality of education across all districts in the state. Since its inception, the program has successfully completed five rounds. This year, the Assam government has introduced an official mobile app that enables authorities to submit their evaluation reports online. The scheme will cover more than 44,000 schools across 35 districts, including government and provincialized schools, tea garden model schools, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Avasiya Vidyalayas, Adarsha Vidyalayas, and tea garden-managed schools.

Objective of Assam Gunotsav 2025

The primary goal of the Assam Gunotsav 2025 initiative is to enhance the quality of education and improve the overall learning outcomes for students across the state of Assam. This evaluation program ensures that both teachers and students work together to promote high-quality education. Under the scheme, a total of 39,65,081 students from classes 1 to 9 will benefit. The Assam Gunotsav 2025 will be carried out in three phases. The first phase will take place from January 6 to 9, covering 11 districts. The second phase will be conducted from January 17 to 22, covering 14 districts, and the third phase will be held from February 5 to 8, covering 10 districts.
