About Anundoram Borooah Award 2025

The Anundoram Borooah Award (ARBAS), launched by the Government of Assam in 2005, honors the legacy of the late Anundoram Borooah. He was the first Assamese and the fourth Indian to join the prestigious Indian Civil Services (ICS) and the first to be appointed as a Deputy Commissioner. This scheme aims to provide financial assistance to meritorious students in Assam. Specifically, it supports those who have secured at least 75% marks in the HSLC examination conducted by SEBA. The ARBAS 2024 Awards are available exclusively to students who are permanent residents of Assam. To benefit from this scheme, eligible students can apply for the award.
